Laura Edwards
Aloha to All my brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
My name is Laura Edwards. I am a mission worker and chaplain for Hawaii Missions. I have been called to serve every year, so far, to reach out to the unfortunate and houseless people in the island of Oahu Hawaii.
Each year I go to meet others to minister around the island. We go to the houseless, reach out to the elderly that are lonely, minister to other churches who need encouragement and support both physically and spiritually. We also go to hospitals and the Women’s Correctional Facility. Also, we do community outreaches as well.
During the year, we collect toiletries, hats, socks and backpacks to give to them as we minister.
All of our supplies come through love offerings and donations. We also reach out to the kids as well.
This year we will be celebrating my 50th anniversary of being saved from being homeless on Waikiki Beach. I will include my testimony at the end to have you familiar with why I do what I do along with a video of the current status of what it is like today in Waikiki and Honolulu.
May the Lord bless you with his love and aloha spirit.
