Lauren was raised in a Christian home but came to a deeper understanding of what it means to have a personal relationship with Christ in 2013. Since then, God has transformed her, and she desires to follow Him and surrender her will to His.

Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Florida and became a certified teacher so that she would be able to share Christ with her students. For many years, Lauren has been interested in teaching abroad. She learned about SAM through an internet search and turned down a paid teaching position in order to serve with SAM in Bolivia at the Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center for the 2016-2017 school year.
